Whoever said 'fucking repetitive' is very right to do so! But that's the beauty of it - just like the minimalism of the 20th century Ravel repeats and progresses the theme beautifully. Big love for this.

Close your eyes. Can't you just see the elephants plodding and swaying over the Sahara? or in India?
In either case...this was my father's favorite piece and I have been hearing it since I was three years old... That would be fifty nine years ago. I love Bolero because it makes me think of my dad....who was the smartest, most Mac Guyver-esk man I ever knew. Also the only one I could ever count
on.
