This kind of performance represents a "halfway point"...between the pianists of Schumann's era,who recorded this later & the totally mechanistic modern revisions that have held sway for the past 60 years.
I can't get excited about it...but...It beats the hell out of Richter,Ashkenazy,Argerich,& like pianists.
